AOD-9604
AOD-9604 is a modified synthetic fragment of human growth hormone corresponding to the C-terminal region 177–191 with a tyrosine residue added at the end. This region is associated in the literature with hGH's effects on lipid metabolism, and isolating it separates the lipolytic action from IGF-1-axis signalling and from effects on blood glucose. In preclinical research, AOD-9604 is used to study lipolysis and the inhibition of lipogenesis in adipocytes, as well as the mechanisms by which hGH fragments influence adipose tissue without engaging the classical growth-hormone receptor. It is also of interest in studies of adipose-tissue energy metabolism. For laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.
