Fragment HGH 176-191

HGH Fragment 176-191 is the C-terminal sequence of human growth hormone, excised from the full 191-amino-acid molecule. Mapping studies of hGH identified this region as carrying the activity on lipid metabolism, so the isolated fragment allows those effects to be investigated without the rest of the molecule's influence on growth or blood glucose. In the laboratory, the fragment is used in preclinical models of lipid mobilisation, beta-oxidation and adipose-mass regulation, as well as in comparative studies against full-length growth hormone and its stabilised analogue AOD-9604.
